Siyanda Bakgatla Platinum Mine has invested more than R60 million in its host communities through their Social and Labour Plan (SLP) which Dibenya Platinum Beneficiation Project is one of the beneficiaries which includes the sponsorship of High-Tech Jewellery Equipment and 3D Printing Machine and Sophisticated CAD Softwares.

This investment is in line with the Integrated Development Plan (IDPs) of Moses Kotane and Thabazimbi Local Municipalities as well as Bakgatla-BA-Kgafela Tribal Authority Masterplan to address critical areas of socio-economic needs of communities.

Social and Labour Plan projects focus on Infrastructure Development, Education and Skills Development, Health, Poverty Alleviation, and Enterprise Development. More than 19 projects have been committed to and are in the process.

​These create job opportunities and skills development for local communities.
